The extracts were added based on saringosterol concentration, with a final saringosterol concentration of 0.6 µM. The O4 expression was normalized to the surface area percentage of a DAPI staining and expressed as fold change relative to ethanol-incubated cells. Data are presented as mean ± SEM ( n = 5) and were analyzed with one-way ANOVA (with Dunnett’s multiple comparisons test) (* p < 0.05).
